The Office of Tourism provides local and out-of-town visitors with a wealth of community, regional and state information, and is a wonderful resource for maps, brochures and other guides.
Upcoming Events
Online Youth Sport Registrations Run September 1 - October 31! 
Beginning September 1, fall/winter sports registrations that include Biddy, Instructional and 9-and-up basketball, six of the seven booster clubs in Botetourt County (Cloverdale, Fincastle, Greenfield, Eagle Rock, Buchanan and TDAC) will be taking their sport registrations online by clicking on the link above. Fall sports registrations for Instructional (6 year olds) and Biddy's (7-8 year olds) begin September 1 and end on September 30. Winter sports registrations for 9-and-up basketball begin September 1 and end on October 31. Citizens without internet access can still register by completing the ATHLETIC REGISTRATION FORM and returning it, along with payment, to the Parks and Recreation office in Fincastle, VA.
2008 Camps and Clinics Guide
The 2008 CAMPS AND CLINICS GUIDE is now available online. Register your child now for camps and clinics that are scheduled throughout the Spring and Summer! With the exception of the Botetourt Sports Camp, you can register for all camps ONLINE.

The 2008 Spring/Summer Programs and Facilities Guide is now available. Due to the size of the electronic version, we are not able to post the complete guide on our web site. Please call or email the Parks and Recreation office and we will be happy to mail you a new copy. This program was also included as an insert in the Saturday, March 8, edition of The Roanoke Times.
Recreation Advisory Commission
The Recreation Advisory Commission serves as the advisory body to the Director of Parks and Recreation. The Commission is a group of FIVE VOTING MEMBERS and three liaison, non-voting members appointed by the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors. Each of the five representatives on the Commission represent the five magisterial districts in Botetourt County: Amsterdam, Blue Ridge, Buchanan, Fincastle and Valley. Five-Year Parks and Recreation Plan
The FIVE-YEAR PARKS AND RECREATION PLAN was released to the public in May, 2007 and outlines a myriad of operations pertaining to the Parks and Recreation Department from the roles and responsibilities of the Department to the recreation needs of Botetourt County.
