Online youth BASEBALL and softball registrations run february 1 - february 28, 2009


Beginning February 1, 2009, Spring sports registrations that include baseball and softball, all seven booster clubs in Botetourt County (Blue Ridge, Cloverdale, Fincastle, Greenfield, Eagle Rock, Buchanan and TDAC) will be taking their sport reigstrations online by clicking the Register Online button:Register Online




Citizens without Internet access can still register by completing the Athletic Registration Form and returning it, along with payment, to the Parks and Recreation office in Fincastle.

Recreation Advisory Commission


The Recreation Advisory Commission serves as the advisory body to the Director of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. It consists of five voting members and three liaison, non-voting members appointed by the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors. The voting members represent the magisterial districts in Botetourt County: Amsterdam, Blue Ridge, Buchanan, Fincastle and Valley.

Five-Year Parks and Recreation Plan


The Five-Year Parks and Recreation Plan was released to the public in May 2007. It outlines the roles and responsibilities of the department to the recreation needs of Botetourt County.

Fpo Did You Know

The Jackson and Cowpasture Rivers converge in northern Botetourt to form Virginia's greatest river, the James River. A 16-mile stretch of the river between Eagle Rock and Springwood is the only part of the James that has been designated a Virginia Scenic River.
